yo
all. First i just have to say that the raid yesterday evening was the
most interesting raid ever for me. And might be the most well planed
and accomplish (grammar?) raid ever in the Chimaera server history. And
this is not just about us ReDevils and TSA. Thanks to KDS who has given
us headache after every raid the last weeks we have changed our way of
PvP. Today its not just about defensestacked templates, uberweps or
FoTM-templates, to survive you need Teamwork, Tactics and a litle bit
of controversial methods
Thanks!
Ill put up a link to the videos if someone wants to see.
If a demoteam logged out inside a base and logged back on later to
slice and start countdown and then log out again I would say its a HUGE
exploit. Its taking advantage of poor/broken game mechanics and Im 100%
sure its not intended to be like this. If SOE had an easy code to put
into the game to prevent this it had been in there. Fyi there is
alot of "legal" exploits that aint bannable, but its still exploit and
add nothing but frustration at the game.
This is nothing to be proud of, its only take the game down to a new low.
Well
played guys u did well with your tactics, and have proved to
be strong opponents,i realy hope we have learnt a big lesson
here:
Brev /shouts at top of voice: dont chase raim out of bases he uses that
as tactics,hold the bases.
/salute cya tonight ?

Honest-Harrys Radioactives. Nr Dant mining -291 2731
But they have already made an easy code to prevent this. Turrets.
--------------------------------------------
Thats not the case my friend. If You enter a base without turrets
and log out, and log back in and the enemy have added turrets You aint
booted from the base (I have tried that a few weeks ago at Liberty).
You might say "oh You did that, then Your exploiting to", no I was
testing the system and DIDNT take advantage of it. Your team did take
advantage of it and the worst exploits is they who cost others alot of
time/money/FP etc... and thats the case here.
If You guys cant see this shady tactics is completely wrong You have some serious issues.

I watched the fight on my brothers pc as he was hanging around Luxor
at the time. I admit you guys did have some better tactics than KDS,
but do you really think you would have done so well if you weren't all
cm/riflemen/fencer/doctors? I might not have seen everyone in your
team but of the ones I did see, not one of them was without a
stun baton, a poison lobbing arm or a rifle. And looking at the
damage some of you were doing most had uberweps to boot. I know there
isn't much you can do it about it as thats the way the game is at the
minute, but in my opinion its the fotm/weps that win battles, tactics
play a smaller part *shrugs*
GG, but i personally will say this. You had a victory in your terms but
are you now taking bases for the sake of bases?. you chose to try and
take a base a sneaky way, instead of fighting the enemy of it and
keeping them off it. you can choose your methods, but its not as if you
really fought over the base, merely tricked us with a clever tactic
(cant be denied).

What i ment was that its not enought (just about) with
defensestacked temps, uberweps or FoTM-temps... so to survive you need
more then that (teamwork and tactics).
my fault sorry.
Ofcourse you need to mix a combo of templates that work in pvp and
use the weps/armor and other stuff that is needed. But against a enemy
like KDS you need more then that.
Nataz: i didnt know about the HQ thing. Only comment i can give on
your last post is, try to have turrets 24/7...? i know sounds too
optimistic...

Meh... both factions have their share of people who will take out any turrets placed at 3.30 in the morning.
Not your fault, not KDS's fault, just one of those sucky things.
Surely a simpler solution would be jsut to lock the base to the other
faction when it isn't vuln.

You know aswell as me that Turrets is kinda easy to take down at
odd hours, though turrets have become alot stronger, but are still
1000% to expensive. I think cheaper turrets would solve alot of
problems with base raids/takedowns etc...
However Im sorry to say that CSR-LeeT seems to agree with You, it
aint stated as an exploit (yet) if there were no turrets when You
logged back on, if it were turrets then its exploit. They clearly
stated though that this is not how the base takedowns is supposed to
be. This means You now have to be physically inside the base
atleast every 15min during Vul, cause You cant fight off an enemy that
aint online.
Oune: I don't quite see your point here. The KDS have more pvp-ready
imps in their town than the rebs can assemble in a week (no, of course
it's not true, but I think you are getting my point here). The
thing with sneaky tactics is this: they are sneaky. It's the whole
point. You don't need to be 50 ppl to take on 50 other people with
sneaky tactics, you need to be 15. Plus, if KDS had lost by the
numbers (zerg rush kekkeke ^__^), they wouldn't have looked as stupid
as they do now, which is a great plus if you ask me.
Sure, KDS
is a force to be reckoned with in an open pvp battle, but might it be
that we have found a **edit** in their armor? No brains, all brawls? Yes, you know this tactic now, and I'm sure that you won't fail for it again, but our bag of tricks is not depleted.
(This
might also open up for something new... intelligence. People selling
info to the highest bidder. What if someone would have gone to KDS and
said "Your base will go down at 7pm tonight, I know why and how it will
be done. Give me 1,000,000 and I will tell you how to prevent it."? Of
course, everybody who knews this by then wouldn't have said it to
anyone, but what if somebody did anyway? What if KDS had knew? Sure, a
base isn't worth 1,000,000 credits, but I am pretty sure any of the KDS
officials gladly would have payed this sum to go back in time and be
able to stop the base from poofing up.
I love sneaky backstabs )
Humans will dig their own graves as long as they are payed for it.
I do see your point mate, but should we really have to put turrets and
watch them 24/7 so a small demo force cant log in the base and then
anytime within the 2 hours vuln take the base? Its not really in the spirit of the fight imo, yes it was a clever tactic. but do we really want this tactic created?
